We’re live!! Discuss the 4th season premiere of Supernatural in the comments section.
Read my two cents about the premiere after the jump.
Supernatural
4×01 – “Lazarus Rising” (Season Premiere)
First, I need to clear up a few things before I dig in, I am not an avid viewer of Supernatural. It’s not that I think the show is bad, because I don’t (in fact I have enjoyed every episode I have watched of the program), it is just I have found–at least for me–that Supernatural is one of those shows that you really need to dedicate the entire hour to doing nothing more than simply watching Supernatural. Sometimes I feel like I can’t even blink. And I’m not always in the mood for that kind of show so I usually pass up on it when it’s on. To be honest tonight’s season premiere was the first episode I have watched since the second season premiere!
Yikes, I have some catching up to do!
And catching up I just might. But I wasn’t completely out of the loop. I have always kept up with spoilers on Supernatural via SpoilerFix or Spoiler TV just so I know what’s going on. So I pretty much knew what had happened in the previous seasons. Not to mention that I read something major was about to happen on Supernatural that really got me excited and frankly made me tune into the show tonight.
Wow, and something major it was.
I had heard through Michael Ausiello, I believe it was him (I’m such a junkie when it comes to this stuff I can’t keep track of the millions of sites I visit a day anymore), over at EW that Supernatural’s mythology was about to open up big time. And I had no clue that the show was “going there”.
The fact that an Angel ripped Dean from hell because God ordered him to literally made my jaw drop. I even asked myself, did he really just say that?
Looks like I’ll be getting some Supernatural seasons on Netflix and playing massive catchup. Oh and I will definitely be tuning in next week!
What did you guys think? Are you happy with the direction the show is going? As thrilled as I am? Or not so much? Shout out below!

I think this season is going to be more of the mythology than we’ve seen before. Stellar episode to bring in the new season I have to say! It came as a shocker or sorts, but not completely. I mean most of us avid SN watchers have wondered time & time again if one day it would be brother vs brother in the fight of good vs evil.

That actually sounds very interesting. I think if they did it right, hardcore SN fans wouldn’t need to worry, they just would need to sit back and enjoy the thrill of the ride.

[...] As much as I’d like to, I obviously do not have the time to blog about every episode of every show on the CW. That is why last Thursday I decided to start blogging about the REALLY good episodes that I have seen of shows on the CW when I started the first SeeDub Discussion Thread on Supernatural. [...]
